Nave & Outer Aisles

For centuries the nave and outer aisles have formed the central location of the monument. The unique space and the many artworks it contains form an impressive historical decor for every activity that takes place here.

The nave and outer aisles have a combined surface area of 3000 m². With superb facilities our location offers great opportunities for congresses, dinners and conventions.

Our monument embraces both small events, like dinners with 20 guests, and large events for up to 2000 people.

Choir

The choir or high choir was the space in the church where the main altar stood. This space is separated from the nave by a monumental choir fence. The choir fence of the Pieterskerk Leiden dates back to around 1450 and is therefore the oldest choir fence in the Netherlands.

In the choir a temporary museumcafé-setting has been made, which is not opened regularly to the public. This fantastic space can be hired for informal gatherings or to celebrate a private occasion.

Churchwardens Room

The Churchwardens Room is a true time capsule. This 17th century period room is one of the most important historical treasures of the Pieterskerk Leiden, with its rich decorations and its gold-leather wallpaper.

The Churchwardens Room is perfectly suited for a meeting, lunch or dinner of 6 to 12 guests. During concerts, congresses or symposia this room can also be used as a reception area for soloists or speakers.

We love to tell our visitors and guests about the special history of the Churchwardens Room, including the story of the wine cellar located beneath the room.

Pieterskerkcafé

The museumcafé of the Pieterskerk Leiden is located in the former library and can be visited from Tuesday to Sunday between 11.00-18.00. The entrance is located at Kloksteeg 16.

The Pieterskerk Leiden is opened as a museum and can be visited via the entrance at Kloksteeg 16, through the Pieterskerkcafé. The entrance fee is € 6 p.p. (children up to 12 years have free entry).

Some activities in the monument are not opened to the public. Call ahead to make sure you can visit the Pieterskerk Leiden: Monday to Friday 10.00-17.00 – 071-512 43 19
