Whether you’re exploring the city, visiting the monument, or just want to relax in a cozy atmosphere – you’re welcome at Museumcafé Pieter!
Right in the historic center of Leiden we make good coffee and serve homemade cake or a delicious, fresh lunch.
From Burgundian-style croquettes to generously filled toasted sandwiches (our grilled vegetables with hummus is a favourite). We serve, among others, Petrus Blond and Golden Triple, Leidsch Aaipiejee, and an alcohol-free NEIPA from Leiden-based brewery Pronck – local flavours with plenty of character. We are proud to work with organic and Fairtrade products wherever possible, so that what you taste is not only delicious, but also fair and sustainable.

Entrance tickets for both the Pieterkerk and the Pilgrim Museum are available inside our café: please ask our staff.
Opening hours
Museumcafé Pieter is opened from Tuesday to Sunday between 11:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
During events, the monument (and therefore the café) may be completely or partially closed.
