Open Heritage Days 2024
During the weekend of Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 September 2024 the Pieterskerk Leiden will once again be part of the yearly Open Heritage Days and will connect to the theme of this year: Routes, networks and connections. For visitors of the Pieterskerk Leiden there is an extensive and diverse programme.
Churchwardens room
During both days the 17th century style room of the Pieterskerk Leiden, the Churchwardens room, can be viewed during guided tours. Registration beforehand is required, which can be done inside the monument at the registration table.
Climb to the viewing point
On both days visitors can climb to the viewing point of the Pieterskerk Leiden for free. From a height of 26 metres you have a magnificent view on Leiden, The Hague and – weather permitting – even the North Sea!
Swing
Do you simply want to relax for a moment surrounded by 900 years of history, that’s possible! The swing will be available for both young and old in the middle of the nave.
